In summer 2015 we very much enjoyed having Stephen Graham on placement with us as part of his ordination training at St Stephen’s House, Oxford. Stephen was ordained to the priesthood on Sunday 2 July in the church where he is serving his curacy, St Andrew’s Holt.

A group from St Luke’s were delighted to be able to travel to Norfolk to join Fr Stephen for his ordination. We have bought him a reversible white/purple stole for visiting the sick with the money we collected for him.

Fr Stephen will visit St Luke’s on Sunday 26 November to celebrate and preach at Mass for us for Christ the King.

Fr Tim Handley has been appointed as Priest-in-Charge of St James, Garlickhythe in the City of London. We will be sad to see him go, but wish him well in this new appointment.

We will say farewell to Fr Tim on Sunday 17 September at the Sung Mass at 10am which will be followed by a Parish BBQ.

On Sunday 9 July we held a Cake Sale after Mass to help support the Grenfell Tower relief fund.

We were able to donate £215 to the fund! Thanks to everyone who baked, bought and ate cakes!

Our new resident choir, Aves Cantantes, provided a wonderful evening of music on Sunday 9 July.

Under the direction of our organist, works by Purcell, Rutter and Whitacre were performed.

There will be further concerts during the arts festival in October. Watch this space!
