Foodbank
St Luke’s is pleased to be actively involved in supporting the local foodbank – especially the branch based at The HUB@75. There is a box for donated food items in church which is regularly filled and taken to the foodbank, and several members of St Luke’s are active in volunteering.
Upper Room
The Upper Room is a homeless centre based with our parochial neighbours at St Saviour’s Cobbold Road. St Luke’s church has longstanding connections with this project which we especially support at the time of our Harvest Thanksgiving.
CRAFTernoon TEA
CRAFTernoon TEA is a fun and safe environment for people of all ages to enjoy a cup of tea, some homemade cake, an easy but rewarding craft activity, and each other’s company. We are also pleased to offer advice and surgeries to those who might need it. CRAFTernoon TEA happens at St Luke’s fortnightly on Tuesday – see the events calendar for the next session.
Big Local
The Big Local is a community project based at White City Community Centre. St Luke’s church is often used to host events and it is in partnership with the Big Local that we run CRAFTernoon tea.
London Citizens
St Luke’s is a founder member of West London Citizens which helps local people coordinate and organise themselves over local issues. In the recent past, St Luke’s has been actively involved in campaigns around the Living Wage, housing in London, the provision of community healthcare, and safety on local streets.
