We are delighted to be coming to the end of a period of internal works on our ancillary rooms. Our former Sacristy had become too small for its daily use, especially the demands of a busy parish on Sundays; it has now been stripped out and converted to a new Parish Office for use by church staff and officers, and will also house the photocopier and parish files so that these need not be kept in the Vicarage.
Meanwhile, the Parish Room will continue to offer resources for catering and children’s activities, but now also absorbs most of the uses of the former Sacristy to allow a better space for clergy, servers and others to prepare for Mass, and improved storage.
The adjacent picture shows the final stage of the works with just a few finishing touches to go.
